FOR WINDOWS 11

A perfect memory for your PC.

Aethel quietly records what you see, read, and work on — then finds any of it in seconds. Everything stays on your computer.

Beta software. Expect bugs, and expect frequent updates that install in place over the previous version. Your captured history is stored unencrypted on this PC, so don't record anything you'd mind a local file reader seeing.

How it works

  1. 01

    Install and set boundaries

The AI model is inside the installer itself, so setup needs no network. No account, no sign-in — and the privacy rules are yours to set before anything is recorded.

    ONNX Runtime · bundled, CPU
  2. 02

    It runs quietly

Aethel lives quietly in your system tray — always visible, always pausable, consuming under 300MB of RAM even during heavy workloads.

System Tray Hook · Ambient State
  3. 03

    Ask anything

"That biology article from a few weeks ago." Plain words in, exact moment out. Vector-indexed across all local pixels and text frames.

    Semantic Embeddings · Zero Lag
Capabilities

Everything you've seen, findable again.

NATURAL LANGUAGE RETRIEVAL

Ask in plain words

No file names, no precise keywords, no messy browser bookmarks. Simply describe what you saw — local AI parses the visual semantics and finds the exact moment.

PRIVACY FORTRESS

Spyware hides. Aethel doesn't.

Recording your screen demands complete, uncompromised trust. Here is how we engineer it from the ground up.

Auto-shielded apps

Banking portals, Bitwarden, 1Password, and Windows Credential Manager are automatically masked. Never captured. Ever.

A vault on your disk

Every frame and index lands in one local SQLite file inside your own Windows profile. Zero screen data leaves your PC — there is no sync and no endpoint that could take it.

Pause anytime

One single tray click blinds Aethel for 30 minutes, 2 hours, or until you unpause. Clear visual status cues in Windows taskbar.

Delete anything

Wipe the last 15 minutes, a specific application window, or your complete historical database with two clicks. Permanent zero-fill shred.

QUESTIONS

Fair questions

Is this spyware?

Spyware hides. Aethel shows its operational status at all times via a persistent tray icon, pauses instantly, and keeps every index on your own physical PC.

Where does my data live?

On your own hard drive, in a local SQLite vault. Nothing you capture is ever uploaded: there is no endpoint that could accept a screenshot, and the optional account used for licence activation never receives screen content.

What about private browsing and banking apps?

Any InPrivate or Incognito window is dropped unconditionally, before a frame is even captured. Password managers and major banking and payment domains ship on the exclusion list by default.

Will it slow my PC down?

Two tiny local models operate with an aggregate footprint of approximately 300 MB RAM. Frame analysis pauses during active 3D games, on battery saver, and while you are away from the keyboard.

Stop losing what you've already found.

Install the client, let it learn your workflow quietly, and recall any moment with natural precision.
